Private notebook
Keep favourite rivals, private nicknames and timestamped replay notes.
A private playbook#
Open your account and select Private notebook, then Unlock notebook. It uses the same passkey but a separate Mera PRF namespace and encryption key. Unlock contacts in the invitation or room panel opens a distinct encrypted address book. Public profile names and avatars are not stored in either private record.
The decrypted content and key stay in memory. The independent release stores authenticated ciphertext and revision metadata on Monad. An owner-authenticated import can load an older server copy; Save encrypted explicitly migrates it. Old records are not deleted automatically.
Keep rivals and replay notes#
- Add a favourite rival's full address and a private nickname. These names do not reserve public usernames or change another player's profile.
- Open a match or replay, then Add note to associate an observation with its versioned reference and timestamp.
- Choose a preferred mode and save it with the notebook.
- Remove individual rivals or notes with their delete controls.
Save, lock and recover#
Edits remain in memory until you select Save encrypted. Each save uses fresh encryption randomness. Lock, disconnecting or changing account closes the decrypted notebook.
Reload saved copy replaces local edits with the committed version. Large encrypted saves are split into chunks; only a complete verified commit becomes the new revision. An interrupted upload can resume after F5. If another device commits first, the interface reports the conflict and keeps the pending encrypted upload until you choose Discard pending upload. Preserve edits you need before reloading and merging manually.
Recovering on another device requires the same PRF-capable passkey. A new passkey derives a different key and cannot decrypt the old notebook. Physical cross-device compatibility has not been established for every provider.
Retired replays and privacy limits#
Your notes remain even when a replay is retired; the note indicates that its replay is no longer retained. Public blockchain activity remains public. Encryption of stored notes does not protect decrypted content from a compromised browser or an extension capable of reading the page's live memory.
