Classic

Two paddles. One ball. First to seven.

The rules#

Classic is PONGIT's standard Pong mode. The logical court is 1024 × 576 units. Both paddles have a height of 96 units. The ball and paddle speeds follow the fixed match rules; the first player to seven points wins.

Move vertically with W/S, the arrow keys or the touch controls. Walls reflect the ball. A paddle impact is resolved against its confirmed position. Missing the ball gives the opponent a point.

Ranked or friendly#

Play now joins Classic ranked matchmaking by default. A direct challenge defaults to friendly, with ranked available under Match options. Both players consent to the opponent, mode and ranking choice before match creation.

Ranked results change the Classic ELO only. Friendly results do not change either ladder. See rankings and seasons.

What spectators change#

Spectators may place eligible test-MON bets when the market is open. In Classic, betting pressure does not change paddle sizes. That mechanic belongs to Chaos. Participants cannot bet on their own match using their participant account.

Confirmation and interruptions#

The browser previews motion but contracts decide impacts, points and results. A local visual correction is not a new rule or a second paddle. Open Network details if input delay affects play.

The match does not become a private offline game when your connection drops. Reconnect to recover its current state. Concede ends the match as a loss; a technical cancellation is a different confirmed result with different market accounting.

Classic is also the mode used in the current single-elimination tournaments. An ordinary Classic win awards ELO when ranked, with no automatic MON victory bonus.
