Rankings & seasons
Separate Classic and Chaos ladders, with results recorded onchain.
Two ladders#
Open Ranking directly in the header and choose Classic or Chaos. The previous V4 ladders are available separately. Each mode has a separate onchain ELO. New players start at 1000. Both modes inherit their previous rooms ratings; the V4 rankings remain separate.
Saved usernames and avatars appear beside rankings. The wallet address remains the verifiable identity behind each profile.
How a result changes ELO#
Ranked wins and losses use an expected score calculated from the two ratings. Beating a stronger opponent generally gains more than beating a weaker opponent. Friendly matches change neither rating.
The first ten recorded games in that rating's placement count use a K factor of 64; later results use 32. Integer rounding applies and the rating has a floor of 100. Do not expect the two players' displayed changes always to be identical: placement factors can differ.
Repeated ranked meetings with the same opponent in the same mode and UTC day have decreasing impact. The change is divided by that pair's daily meeting count, capped at a divisor of eight.
Seasons and inherited ratings#
Seasons last 30 days from the current game's genesis time. Ratings owned by the current deployment move halfway toward 1000 for each elapsed season, evaluated lazily when read. The contract caps catch-up at 16 steps per read calculation. Ratings not yet materialized in the current deployment are read from the previous game, so inheritance follows that previous contract's own season rules.
If a ranking is not updated yet#
The rooms contract applies a ranked result once on the engine. The leaderboard distinguishes live ELO from the published Monad copy, which remains subject to the delegation challenge process. The coordinator verifies and caches these views; V4 rankings continue through Envio. Wait for confirmation and refresh if the display is temporarily behind; changing your username does not reset your ELO.
